Signals from one pair can partially couple into an adjacent pair due to the electric field generated between them and the corresponding magnetic field caused by its variation. This interaction, known as capacitive and inductive coupling, results in crosstalk. Crosstalk is classified into two types: internal crosstalk and alien crosstalk. HCI’s BP24KHA Series Patch Panels feature two distinct patented designs: one to combat internal crosstalk and another to mitigate alien crosstalk. Together, these innovations deliver true Cat 6A Component-Rated performance, ensuring compliance with strict limits for both types of interference. Unlike so-called 'Cat 6A' products that only achieve Channel-Rated internal crosstalk compliance and neglect alien crosstalk altogether, HCI delivers a solution you can count on.
Patented Core - The Heart of Performance
The BP24KHA Series Patch Panel is built on the same foundation as HCI’s KHA Series and features the same US Patent No. 9,325,117 B1. This patent uses an inductance-offset technique to reduce fringing field effects, improving performance in NEXT, FEXT, and Return Loss. As a result, even though odd and even ports are on separate circuits, both maintain internal crosstalk compliance with TIA-568.2-D and ISO-11801 Component-Rated standards.
Patented Interdigit : Solving Alien X’talk
Alien Crosstalk occurs when disturbing signals from one channel interfere with a neighboring channel. The US Patent No. 9,948,033 B1 introduces an interdigitated geometry that rotates ports vertically and swaps the odd and even ports to face each other. This innovation expands the physical distance between ports on the same panel and between upper and lower ports in stacked configurations, effectively reducing Alien Crosstalk.
Magic Wire Caps: A Boost Against Alien X’talk
While US Patent No. 9,948,033 B1 already tackles about 80% of alien crosstalk, adding further measures never hurts in minimizing its effects. Positioned at the rear of the patch panel, these Anti-EMI compound caps further suppress alien crosstalk at the termination points, where twisted pairs are exposed. The caps also feature an EZ-release design, making re-terminations easier. Two functions in one design—that’s why we call it magic!

Structured cabling typically lasts around 20 years, so it’s crucial to use certified, high-quality patch panels in telecom rooms for lasting performance. The BP24KHA Series is Cat 6A Component-Rated for transmission, IEEE 802.3bt and IEC 60512-99-002 certified for supporting 4PPoE remote powering, and periodically monitored by Intertek ETL. With third-party verified patch panels backing your system, you can be confident in achieving true 10Gbit network speeds!
Designed for Cat 6A Cable Comfort
Cat 6A UTP cables are stiffer and larger than Cat 6, making installation harder if IDCs are too close. Narrow spacing complicates centering cables and evenly distributing twisted pairs after stripping the jacket, often causing sloppy terminations and rework. HCI’s BP24KHA Series offers a 2cm-wide area, providing ample room for precise installation. Its IDCs work with 110 and Krone tools, avoiding regional tool restrictions.
Cable Management: Single or Bundled
The BP24KHA Series features cable management made of rigid 1.6mm SECC steel, reinforced with enhancing ribs, designed to support large, heavy cables without deformation. The side hangers are slightly flexible, allowing minor adjustments for easy release and fastening. Cables can be individually aligned with each corresponding IDC for a neat, organized setup, or bundled in 6-in-1 groups, depending on the cable routing needs.
I.D. paper slides in, then locks
With a 1cm-wide writing area, ports can be clearly identified, or you can use an 8mm I.D. thermal transfer printers for quick, frequent updates. IT personnel can make moves, adds, and changes without the hassle of plastic covers. For detailed descriptions that require paper swapping, the Slide-in mechanism allows easy sideways movement of papers, ensuring they’re securely locked back into place.
