KVB Series Keystone Jack

KVB Series Keystone Jacks

Enter the world of the KVB Series—unshielded keystone jacks with stable ergonomics in a 90-degree punchdown mechanism. The compact size of KVB is not achieved at the expense of transmission performance. Indeed, it's challenging to maintain balance circuit compensation with a smaller footprint. However, through diligent engineering efforts and high-frequency simulation, we've achieved top-tier performance meeting the stringent standards of ANSI/TIA-568.2-D Cat 6A and ISO/IEC 11801 Cat 6a, ensuring peace of mind for all installations.

Patented Transmission Design
The KVB series benefits from the patented US9391405B1 design for its Impedance-Matching Technique. Why is Impedance-Matching crucial? Picture each twisted pair operating within connections as if there were no intermediary. This necessitates precise calculations to determine induced signals and how to compensate for them through keystone design. Each brand employs its own approach to manage this; the key lies in how effectively it's executed.
Certified Quality
Rather than boasting about transmission performance, HCI relies on certifications to speak for the KVB Series. By regularly checking HCI's website, you'll see that the same certificate is updated yearly with a new issue date, showing that the KVB undergoes continuous monitoring by Intertek to uphold certification validity. We are proud that the production quality has remained consistently stable since its initial launch into the market.
Alien X’talk Isn’t Optional; It’s a “MUST”
The major distinction between Cat 6A and Cat 6 lies in Alien Crosstalk requirements. While Cat 6A requires compliance with Alien X'talk, Cat 6 does not. Installers use FLUKE to qualify installed cablings at sites. However, performing Alien X'talk tests can be challenging due to variations in cable runs and fixture proximity. You should trust a third-party laboratory to handle the testing for you. The KVB is Cat 6A certified by Intertek, both internally & externally.
All 4 Pairs for Power
As PoE technology evolves, now Modular Plug Terminated Link (MPTL) supports 4PPoE remote power delivery. It's crucial not to overlook the PoE compliance of the connectivity used in MPTL setups; otherwise, Class 8 power might not be detected at the PD end, leading to devices not functioning properly due to insufficient wattage. The KVB stands out for its IEC 60512-99-002 PoE connectivity certification, with P/N available in Intertek's verified directory.
Works with Readily Available Parallel Plier
We can't stress enough the simplicity of termination offered by the KVB series. The process begins by seating each pair into its designated slot. The wire cap, which is sturdy in construction, functions as a presser. For those familiar with nutcrackers, terminating 8 wires is as straightforward as cracking a nut—just as simple. Once crimping is complete, any excess wires can be trimmed away with a cutter. Just takes about 1 minute to complete the entire process.
Works with Customized EZ Terminator
If using a plumber's wrench doesn't interest you, the KVB offers a tool that combines both wire-pressing and wire-cutting functions. With just one crimp, the job is finished. You'll find that the excess wires are neatly cut flush, and the wire cap smoothly locks into place without any burrs getting in the way. As with any skill, practice leads to proficiency. Once you're accustomed to the EZ Terminator, the assembly of KVB keystone jacks can be completed in just 45 seconds.
Made in Taiwan
We take immense pride in the craftsmanship of the KVB Series, meticulously manufactured in Taiwan to demonstrate our expertise and unwavering commitment to top-notch quality. In an era where everyone can easily find suppliers online, HCI has chosen to take a less conventional path that may appear less profitable to others. Our goal is to ensure that the copper connectivity we design, as well as those being installed at sites, precisely meets the standards without any ambiguity.
